Hello everyone and welcome to Starling's weekly blog ?
Wow, what amazing performers the gorgeous Starlings are.
They have worked so hard and always with a smile on their gorgeous faces. We could not be prouder of them all.

Snack
Children in KS1 receive free fruit. Children do not have to bring a snack from home but if you wish to do so we ask that it is a healthy option and just one item, please.

Reading
The children will continue to bring home a Read Write Inc book, a book bag book and a bedtime story each week. This provides them with a variety of familiar, new and challenging texts to read. Bedtime storybooks are to be enjoyed with an adult. Reading TO the children ensures that they experience the magic of a story coming to life and have a purpose and love of reading.
As part of our Explorers, theme Starlings class will be Environmental Explorers this half term. In our history and geography lessons, we will continue with our whole school 'Global Neighbours' project where Starlings will explore Global Goal number 15 'Life on Land.
Starlings will be exploring how we can reduce, reuse and recycle our unwanted items. We will also be exploring how we can protect, restore and promote our planet's insects, animals and plants. We will also be exploring ways how we can reduce the number of single-use plastic items we use particularly in our lunchboxes. We have carried out our survey and once we have collated our responses we will be investigating alternatives to single-use plastic in our lunchbox
English
This week we have been writing letters to yoghurt companies. We have learnt that even when yoghurt pots are recycled at the recycling plants, small fragments break off and fly away ultimately landing in the water and travelling to the sea. We have written to different companies telling them how much we love yoghurt but please could they research a more environmentally way to package it. We will let you know how we get on!
Maths
This week we continue to look at division and how we can share into different groups.

The children also love coconut multiples which helps them with their multiples of numbers facts.
Science
In Science, we are exploring different materials, what their properties are and what they are best used for. We have carried out an investigation to find out which material is best for keeping our sandwiches fresh and dry. We discovered that a reusable plastic container was best for keeping our sandwiches fresh. However, one of our Super Starlings said that we could use a washed-out butter container, that way we save money and the environment!

Please spend 10 – 20 minutes reading each day. This can be a combination of Read Write Inc and bedtime story books. Please remember the importance of your child listening to YOU read during this time too.
RWI
Please refer to your child’s diary for information regarding the sounds that your child has been taught and also the titles of the books they will have at home. Your child will also have come home with a set of alien words which focus on the sound they are working on.
Spellings
During the Summer term, our spellings will remain focused on the Year One Common Exception words. These are words that the children will come across frequently in both their reading and writing. We will complete a spelling quiz in class every Friday. Please use your spelling whiteboard to help you to learn your spelling each week. We will write your child's score in their diary each week. This will be written next to the spellings they have been tested on that day. This will be on the page of the previous weeks.

Hello everyone and welcome back to Skylarks weekly blog ?
Skylarks have had another super week and have been busy rehearsing for both Northwich Sings and our KS2 Production.

Reminders:
Please send party-wear costumes into school ASAP for the KS2 production.
Tuesday 21st June: Y5 will be taking part in Northwich Sings. They should come to school in their blue jeans, coloured tshirt and sensible footwear and should bring extra snacks and a packed tea in a named, disposable bag – No school bags or lunch boxes please. Parents are invited to arrive at 6.10pm to watch the performance.
On Monday, the children in Years 5 and 6 will receive first aid training where they will be taught how to make a 999 call and how to deal with various medical emergencies.
In English this week, we will be editing and publishing our persuasive information texts on landfill. The children have worked so hard on their first drafts and I can’t wait to read their final pieces of published writing.
In maths this week, we will be focussing on converting between decimals and fractions. We will also consolidate our understanding of the four operations through daily 4-A-Day activities.
In art we will continue to develop our drawing skills by learning how to draw realistic human faces in proportion and with different expressions.
In PE, we will continue to learn our dance for the KS2 production.
Our PE day this term is on Friday so your child should come to school in their PE kit on this day. Please remember PE kits should either be school kits or plain black/blue.
Homework
In year 5 the children will be set a weekly maths homework that they should complete and mark at home using the answers in the back of the homework book.
If your child is finding the homework tricky, I will ensure that supervision is provided on a Thursday lunchtime for your child to ask any questions or receive some support to complete their homework.
The children should complete the worksheet on fractions/word problems this week to be returned by Friday 24th June.

Worship: A fantastic example of teamwork, knowledge and courage was shown by everybody in our class worship last week. Well done for sharing our message about how important forests are to the world and what we can do to protect them.
This week: We will complete the multiplication times table check.
Writing: We will write and present our own non-chronological report on forests and deforestation.
Reading: We will continue to read about other Courageous Advocates who helped the environment like Anita – the founder of the Body Shop.

Toucans have had a lovely week back this week. They have enjoyed the Platinum Jubilee Picnic, Hoodwinked practices and Sports Day preparations.
We are also looking forward to our residential on Monday. Please remember to check that you have packed everything on the kit list and have a packed lunch for Monday.
Keep an eye out for booking Hoodwinked tickets as I'm sure these will book up quickly. I have asked that all children have their costumes ready for next Thursday 16th June.
Well done to our Praise Star - Jack - for showing great leadership skills during our group work task this week. Also Top Table Superstars for lovely manners - Lauren and Robyn.
Next week will be so exciting with our Residentia, Monday - Wednesday and then we will spend most of the rest of the week preparing for our Robin Hood Production.

This week: Extra PE session on Wednesday morning. Please send your child in their PE kit.
Mrs Evans is teaching on Monday instead of Mrs Judge and we will be working together to prepare our class worship to share our learning about Global Neighbours with other classes in school.
Writing: We will learn to write sentences which have impact and grab the reader’s attention, learn to write sub headings to introduce different paragraphs and writing a mini report about sloths.
Reading: We will learn about the courageous advocate Wangari Maathai and compare her actions to those of Isatou Ceesay. We will learn how speech bubbles, paragraphs, sub-headings and images are used to enhance the readers’ understanding of the text.

Geography and Worship: We will combine our understanding of forests, deforestation and climate change and what solutions we can use to Make One Change and share this with other classes during our Class worship on Monday.
PE: Monday and Friday with an extra session on Wednesday this week -We will learn our dance for Hoodwinked and play striking and fielding games.
PSHCE: We will read our next No Outsiders book.
Music: We will continue to prepare a performance of ‘Lean On Me’ and learn to use the Glockenspiels as an accompaniment. We will remind ourselves of the Hoodwinked songs.

Another fantastic week in Skylarks Class. We had a super day on Tuesday celebrating the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee. We have another exciting week ahead…

Reminders:
Friday 10th June: Whole School Sports Day starting at 1pm – Parents are invited to come along with their camping chairs and running shoes to support their children on the day. Please ensure your child wears their normal PE uniform (white t-shirt, black/navy shorts/leggings/joggers and suitable running shoes) on this day.
Tuesday 14th June: Year 5 Violin and Cello Concert – Parents are invited to join us in the school hall at 2.30pm to watch the children showcase their talents. Please ensure your child has their instrument in school on this day.
Friday 17th June: Party-wear costumes to be in school for the KS2 production please.
In English next week, we will use our research and plans to help write our own persuasive information text about landfill. We will be working to apply all of our learning from last half term, including using a formal tone, higher level conjunctions, fronted adverbials, a range of modal verbs, parenthesis and well-developed factual information.
In Shared Reading, we will continue to read our text ‘Pollution: A Look Behind the Scenes. Our focus will be on identifying how language, structure and presentation contribute to meaning, as well as inferring the thoughts and feelings of others.
In maths next week, we will be moving on to learn about decimals. We will begin by learning about the place value of decimals, focussing on how to read and write decimals up to two decimal places. We will then move on to look at converting between decimals and fractions. We will also consolidate our understanding of the four operations through daily 4-A-Day activities.
In Science, we will continue our learning on ‘Earth and Space’. Next week we be looking at the sun, moon and planets and will focus on describing the movement of the Earth relative to the Sun and the movement of the Moon relative to the Earth.
In art we will continue to develop our drawing skills by learning how to draw realistic human faces in proportion and with different expressions. We will also begin to look at the sketching work of Leonardo da Vinci.
In RE, we will be introduced to the five pillars of Islam and will explore the meaning of community for Islamic people. We will also explore how Ramadan and Eid are celebrated.
Our PE day this term is on Friday so your child should come to school in their PE kit on this day. Please remember PE kits should either be school kits or plain black/blue.

I hope you have all had a restful and fun-filled half term. We can’t wait to welcome you back into school tomorrow for a day of Jubilee Celebrations.

In English this week, we will be working hard to plan our own persuasive information text about landfill based on our book ‘The Paper Bag Prince’ by Colin Thompson. We will use our learning from last half term, as well as additional research to help us note and develop our ideas around the problems, benefits and alternative to landfill sites.
In Shared Reading, we will continue to read our text ‘Pollution: A Look Behind the Scenes. Our focus will be on identifying how language, structure and presentation contribute to meaning. We will also recap inference questions, deciding how the author might feel about the topic, justifying our answers with evidence.
In maths, we will celebrate the Jubilee with an activity based around multiplying fractions. We will also celebrate our ‘Let’s Count’ day on Thursday with activities based around graphs and statistics, helping the children gain a better understanding of the Census; what it is and why it’s important. We will also consolidate our understanding of the four operations through daily 4-A-Day activities.
In Science, we will start our new topic on ‘Earth and Space’. The children will first consider what they already know about the topic, before learning about the spherical shape of the sun, Earth and moon. We will look at scientific evidence that has been used to support and refute the idea that these bodies are spherical.
In Art we will be developing our drawing skills by using a variety of pencil grades to create texture. We will also learn how to draw bodies in proportion and from different perspectives.
Our PE day this term is on Friday so your child should come to school in their PE kit on this day. Please remember PE kits should either be school kits or plain black/blue.
Homework and Spellings
There was no homework or spellings set over half term so there will be no quiz this Friday. New homework and spellings will be set on Friday 10th June for the week after.

We all thoroughly enjoyed the class text ‘Goldilocks and just the one bear’ and the children wrote the most amazing pieces of work.
This week, in account of the platinum jubilee we will be completing some writing around the text ‘The Queen’s hat’ by Steve Antony. We will then move on to ‘Toys in Space by Mini Grey.
Maths

This will be written next to the spellings they have been tested on that day. This will be on the page of the previous weeks.

Worship: This week in worship we have enjoyed Open the Book, listened to a Story and learned a song with Vicar Andrew and said a fond farewell to our lovely Mrs Elson.
After half term: No school on Monday. Tuesday 7th is our Jubilee celebration day and picnic. Friday 10th 1pm Sports day.
Writing: We will use clips of David Attenborough’s Planet Earth programmes to inspire us to write our own transcript for a wildlife commentary and have a go at performing it to each other using our voice to create drama.
Reading: Continuing to read and research about different courageous advocates and identify how the layout of a text supports our understanding.
Reading homework- Please continue to support your child to read for 10-20 minutes daily and to sign their diary.

Geography: We will continue to learn about the important work of the Courageous Advocate Jane Goodall and her important discoveries about Chimpanzees. As part of our Global Neighbours focus we will research the work being done locally to protect our environment and the wildlife that lives in it.

Music: We will continue to prepare a performance of ‘Lean On Me’ and learn to use the Glockenspiels as an accompaniment.

Friday Superstar: Hetty

Forest schools was so successful this week. The children all showed such perseverance, patience and support for each other whilst learning to light a fire safely.
Art Trail -our beautiful piece of art work, on the theme of Connections and inspired by our learning about Climate Change and Human impact, will be on display in the shopping units opposite H&M from Friday 20th May until Friday 23rd June. Please pop down to admire our work!
Worship: This week in worship we have enjoyed Open the Book’s story of the hole in the roof. We were wowed by Robin’s worship based around their Global Goal focus ‘Life Under Water’ and learned lots about how we can make small changes to help reduce plastic pollution. Look out soon for our Water Pipe Challenge which we are doing to raise money to provide clean and safe water for a community in South Africa.
Next Week:
Recycling collection: Thank you to those who have sent in empty clean bottles, yoghurt tubs, cardboard boxes etc. for our collection ready for our day of music next Thursday 26th May. Please keep raiding your recycling boxes!
Reading and Writing: Our new texts: Rainforests in 60 seconds, Where the Forest Meets the Sea and Fantastically Great Women who changed the world have really captured our interest in learning about rainforests and the environment. Next week we will be using the texts to support our understanding of the possessive apostrophe and building up our rainforest vocabulary and knowledge.

Music: Our whole school music day on Thursday will involve the children being part of a bigger orchestra with the online Halle orchestra, making instruments, learning songs and making the links with the environment and sustainability.

The children will continue to bring home a Read Write Inc book, a book bag book and a bedtime story each week. This provides them with a variety of familiar, new and challenging texts to read. Bedtime storybooks are to be enjoyed with an adult. Reading TO the children ensures that they experience the magic of a story coming to life and have a purpose and love of reading.
As part of our Explorers, theme Starlings class will be Environmental Explorers this half term. In our history and geography lessons, we will continue with our whole school 'Global Neighbours' project where Starlings will explore Global Goal number 15 'Life on Land.
Starlings will be exploring how we can reduce, reuse and recycle our unwanted items. We will also be exploring how we can protect, restore and promote our planet's insects, animals and plants. We will also be exploring ways to reduce the number of single-use plastic items we use particularly in our lunchboxes. We have carried out our survey and once we have collated our responses we will be investigating alternatives to single-use plastic in our lunchbox
English
Bear has finally met Goldilocks after all this time! The children enthusiastically got into character and modelled the conversation they thought they would have.

A huge congratulations to our wonderful Toucans who have done themselves proud this week. Well done everyone, you are all superstars and deserve to be our Praise Stars this week. The children are delighted that we will not be having anymore boosters sessions and we can now return to normal lessons!
Over the next few weeks, we will be focusing on our writing lessons and these will be based on our class book 'Island'.
In Maths we will be focusing on Statistics.
We will also begin our Global Neighbours topic now and focus on some elements that the childen have missed from the curriculum over the past 2 years due to lockdowns, namely the water cycle and rivers topic in Geography.
Next week, Toucans will begin to rehearse again for our Hoodwinked production so we have lots to look forward to.

Hello everyone and welcome back to Skylarks weekly blog ?
It has been a beautiful sunny week in school and Skylarks Class have continued to work hard!
Next Week (W.B. 16.05.22)
Tuesday 17th May: Please remind children to bring their violin or cello to school on this day. They may bring them in on Monday to prevent forgetting on the day of our music lesson.
Wednesday 18th May: Skylarks will have an additional PE session on this day and so they should wear their PE kit to school.
In English next week, we will continue to explore our new book ‘The Paper Bag Prince’ by Colin Thompson. We will focus our week on letter writing using both informative and persuasive features. We will first plan and write a letter to the council informing them about the ‘Poison Pool’ and urging them to do something about it. We will also conduct research about landfill sites in the UK to help broaden our understanding of the problem.
In Shared Reading, we will read our new text ‘Pollution: A Look Behind the Scenes. Our focus will be on identifying how language, structure and presentation contribute to meaning
In maths, we will continue to solve problems involving adding and subtracting fractions. We will then move on to multiplying fractions, starting with unit fractions where the numerator is always 1. We will also consolidate our understanding of the four operations through daily 4-A-Day activities.
In Science, we will continue to explore our topic ‘Animals, including Humans’. Over the next couple of weeks, we will be learning about the changes which humans go through as they develop from a baby to old age. This fits in with our RSE curriculum which will be delivered mostly through our science lessons.
In history and geography, we will continue to explore our ‘Global Neighbours’ topic. This week, we will be learning courageous advocates from around the world. We will explore the questions: Who are they? Why are they courageous advocates?
Our PE day this term is on Friday so your child should come to school in their PE kit on this day. Please remember PE kits should either be school kits or plain black/blue.
Homework
In year 5 the children will be set a weekly maths homework that they should complete and mark at home using the answers in the back of the homework book.
If your child is finding the homework tricky, Mrs Hulse and I will ensure that supervision is provided on a Thursday lunchtime for your child to ask any questions or receive some support to complete their homework.
The children should complete the worksheet on multiplying fractions this week to be returned by Friday 20th May.

Puffins – Week commencing 9th May 2022
Hello and Welcome to Puffins Weekly blog!
I hope everyone has had a lovely weekend!
Last week
Puffins have had a lovely week last. Lots of dancing to start our mornings to get us ready for our learning but also in aid of World Dance Day which was on Friday!
In maths we have been looking at 2D and 3D shapes and also halves and quarters of shape.
We also did some more planting of wild flowers and preparing beds for more planting.
This week
This week we will be spending each morning in the school garden where we will be digging more beds for planting, planting potatoes, onions and rhubarb. We will also be planting certain flowers such as nasturtium and marigolds and garlic to act as natural pesticides to help protect our lovely vegetables. We will be making our own plant food from nettles which we will use to help our plants grow.
We will be doing some forest school learning too which will include den building, rope work making bridges, ladders and rope swings but also learning how to make shelters. So don’t forget to bring your water bottles, wellies, sun cream and sunhats for an action packed week!!!
Please encourage your child to read a few pages of their book each night and it would be helpful to practice their times tables with them too. At the moment, we are working on 10’s, 2’s, 5’s and 3’s. The websites below are great fun for Times Tables practice.

Hello everyone and welcome back to Skylarks weekly blog ?
What a great week we have had in Skylarks Class – it has been lovely to hear the children singing so beautifully whilst learning our songs for the Northwich Sings Festival taking place at the end of June.
Next Week (W.B. 09.05.22)

In English next week, we will continue to explore our new book ‘The Paper Bag Prince’ by Colin Thompson. We will begin the week by learning about Modal Verbs and writing sentences to describe the poison pool using modal verbs to indicate degrees of possibility. We will then build on this learning throughout the week to create a paragraph about the Poison Pool using modal verbs and fronted adverbials to aid cohesion.
In Shared Reading, we will read the first chapter of ‘The Last Wild’ by Piers Torday. Our focus will be on drawing inferences, including characters’ thoughts, feelings and motives. We will use our ‘visualising’ and ‘thinking out loud’ techniques to help us draw inferences and justify our answers.
In maths, we will continue to look at adding and subtracting fractions. The children are now confident performing these calculations and so we are focusing on lots of reasoning and problem solving questions to help deepen our understanding. We will also consolidate our understanding of the four operations through daily 4-A-Day activities.
In Science, we will continue to explore our new topic ‘Animals, including Humans’. Over the next couple of weeks, we will be learning about the changes which humans go through as they develop from a baby to old age. This fits in with our RSE curriculum which will be delivered mostly through our science lessons.
In history and geography, we will continue to explore our ‘Global Neighbours’ topic. We will be looking at the examples of Chester and Stockholm to see how cities around the world are already making steps to become more sustainable.
In RE, we will conclude our learning on forgiveness by writing a diary entry from a Christian point of view explaining their beliefs around forgiveness and justice, making links to the bible verses we have studied.

As part of our Explorers, theme Starlings class will be Environmental Explorers this half term. In our history and geography lessons, we will continue with our whole school 'Global Neighbours' project where Starlings will explore Global Goal number 15 'Life on Land.
Starlings will be exploring how we can reduce, reuse and recycle our unwanted items. We will also be exploring how we can protect, restore and promote our planet's insects, animals and plants. We will also be exploring ways how we can reduce the number of single-use plastic items we use particularly in our lunchboxes. We are going to be carrying out a survey across the school!
English
This week has seen Bear enter Snooty Towers to escape the noisy street. We explored different rooms and used our phonics knowledge to label the different nouns we spotted and also included an adjective.
Maths
In maths, this week Starlings have looked at measuring weight and volume. We have used our knowledge to first of all estimate which items were the heaviest before using our hands or the balance scale to compare.
Reading
Please spend 10 – 20 minutes reading each day. This can be a combination of Read Write Inc and bedtime storybooks. Please remember the importance of your child listening to YOU read during this time too.
RWI
Please refer to your child’s diary for information regarding the sounds that your child has been taught and also the titles of the books they will have at home.
Spellings
During the Spring term, our spellings will be focused on the Year One Common Exception words. These are words that the children will come across frequently in both their reading and writing. We will complete a spelling quiz in class every Friday. Please use your spelling whiteboard to help you to learn your spellings each week. We will write your child's score in their diary each week. This will be written next to the spellings they have been tested on that day. This will be on the page of the previous weeks.

Can we also ask that your child has a drink bottle that is clearly named and contains only water. We also request that if your child wears trainers with laces they are able to independently retie them if they become undone otherwise can they please wear trainers with a Velcro fastening.

What an amazing week we had last week!
Our Goldfinches were an absolute credit and we all had so much fun.

Writing: We will use varied nouns and pronouns to avoid repetition through writing a letter to describe the eruption on the island.
Reading: We will continue with Ariki and the Island of Wonders and focus on drawing inferences about characters and settings using evidence from the text.
Reading homework- regular reading, little and often is so supportive at this age to enable your child to read with confidence, speed and fluency.

Geography: We will use mapping, OS symbols and our own knowledge to compare Lostock and Llandudno.

Hello everyone and welcome back to Starling's weekly blog ?
What another busy week we have had.
Thank you so much for taking the time to enjoy sharing stories with your Starling at home. If your child has received new books recently that you think other children will enjoy and you are happy for them to be in school we would love to share them with the whole Starlings class.
Reading
The children will continue to bring home a Read Write Inc book, a book bag book and a bedtime story each week. This provides them with a variety of familiar, new and challenging texts to read. Bedtime storybooks are to be enjoyed with an adult. Reading TO the children ensures that they experience the magic of a story coming to life and have a purpose and love of reading.

This week has seen Bear enter the city and he is feeling quite perturbed with the unfamiliar noises. Along Princess Avenue we have noticed shops such as Mr B.G.Gruffs hairdressers, Beanstalk Bank an The Glass Slipper to name a few! Starlings have created their own shop names where we have focused on ensuring these have capital letters as they are proper nouns.

Hello everyone and welcome back to Skylarks weekly blog ?
Another fantastic week for Skylarks Class! The children have worked so hard to write and edit their biographies about Chris Hadfield this week and I have thoroughly enjoyed reading them. Well done everyone!
Next Week (W.B. 02.05.22)
Reminder: School will be closed on Monday for May Bank Holiday.
In English, we will begin our new unit of work based on the book ‘The Paper Bag Prince’ by Colin Thompson. During our first few lessons, we will explore the theme of plastic in the ocean, discussing and debating our thoughts and feelings. We will also begin to compare and contrast the different settings in the story, with the aim of writing a setting description using adverbial phrases for cohesion.
In Shared Reading, we will begin to read our new class text ‘Pollution: A Look Behind the Scenes’. Our focus next week will be on drawing inferences, including characters’ thoughts, feelings and motives. We will use our ‘visualising’ and ‘thinking out loud’ techniques to help us draw inferences and justify our answers.
In maths, we will be looking at subtracting fractions with different denominators, including mixed numbers. We will also consolidate our understanding of the four operations through daily 4-A-Day activities.
In RE, we will continue to explore our theme ‘forgiveness’. We will read from the book of Corinthians (2:5-11) and explore the following questions: What can Christians learn from this passage? What does it teach them about God and forgiveness?
In Science, we will begin to explore our new topic ‘Animals, including Humans’. Next week, we will be looking at the changes which humans go through as they develop from a baby to old age. This fits in with our RSE curriculum which will be delivered mostly through our science lessons.
Our PE day this term is on Friday so your child should come to school in their PE kit on this day. Please remember PE kits should either be school kits or plain black/blue.
Homework
In year 5 the children will be set a weekly maths homework that they should complete and mark at home using the answers in the back of the homework book.
If your child is finding the homework tricky, Mrs Hulse and I will ensure that supervision is provided on a Thursday lunchtime for your child to ask any questions or receive some support to complete their homework.
The children should complete the worksheet on adding and subtracting fractions (including mixed numbers) this week to be returned by Friday 6th May.
Please also encourage your child to read for 20 minutes each evening and practice their spellings/times tables. The following websites are both great for times tables practice:

Our spellings for the quiz on Friday 6th May will be the next 10 words from the Year 5/6 statutory spelling list:
prejudice, privilege, profession, programme, pronunciation, queue, recognise, recommend, relevant, rhyme
Please remember these words are a lot more difficult than our spellings that follow a specific rule. If your child is finding them tricky at home, please choose 5 to focus on.

Toucans enjoyed their Team Games Final with Mr Ault on Wednesday. They worked well as part of a team and displayed a variety of throwing and catching skills to great effect. Next week, they will have Cricket as usual on Wednesday and Mr Ault for PE on Friday.
As we continue to prepare for the SATs, our lessons next week are focusing on English and Maths. Please continue to work through CGP books at home and in particular complete the pages on Ratio and Proportion in the Maths CGP book page 42 and 43 as this is what they have been learning with Mr Corkill this week.
Spellings for next week are - convenience, assistance, vehicle, solemn, apparently, attachment, sacrifice, principal, suspicious, precede, perceive, coordinate, innocence, ancient, cemetery, prejudice, disastrous, frequently, persuasion, borough. Again the children have been given a sheet with these words on in their diary and a practice sheet where they can test themselves using the same format that will appear in their SATs.
Please continue to read for 15mins daily to build up reading stamina.
