Toucans week beg. 8.11.21

Date: 4th Nov 2021 @ 5:27pm

Week beg 8th November 2021

We have been really impressed by the positive attitudes shown by all the children this week. They have clearly worked hard to learn their lines for our production already. This is great as it means we can focus on the acting and singing in school.

If your child does not know their lines please encourage them to learn them this week. Also if anyone is struggling to get a costume together please don’t panic but just speak to us. We want to keep all costumes as simple as possible and we will add props in school so it will be clear who is who!

For homework, we will set another 2 pages in their Maths books this week, please see below. We would also like them to log onto Times Tables Rockstars at least 3 times a week for 15 mins. They have their log in details in the front of their homework diaries if needed.

Remember to encourage your child to read for 15 – 20 mins daily and to record their reading in their diaries. We have stapled a list of recommended books for Year 6 children in the front of their diaries and we would like them to read some of these throughout the year. We have a lot of these texts in our class library so the children can borrow them from school or they might find some at their local library. We have asked them to tick off the books that that they read on the list.
