Robins Week beg. 17th July

Date: 13th Jul 2023 @ 6:27pm

Thank you to everyone who attended our Open Evening. It was lovely to see the joy on the children's faces as they shared all their books and work with you. We will be sending home their old books over the next couple of days so if they don't have a rucksack it would be useful to bring in a bag to enable the children to take home their books. Some of their books that they are currrently using will be passed up to their Year 4 class so they can continue to use these next year. It has been lovely to have Miss Charlton working with the children in class this week. This has allowed her to build relationships with the children before September.

We have had another great week of swimming. We will have some more intensive lessons for Robins on Monday and then Tuesday everyone will have their last lesson. An email will be sent out to those that need swim kit in school for both days.

Thank you to everyone for your support with homework this year. The children have been amazing with their reading at home this year, practising their weekly spellings and learning their times tables.

Next week we will be focusing on completing our Ancient Civilisation topic. Although I don't think we will get it finished by the end of term so this will be continued by Miss Charlton in Year 4 and will act as a good transition project for the class.

We will also be finishing of our Art and DT work for this year as well as completing our Maths objectives on Measure and Statistics.

Thank you for your outstanding support this year and I look forward to watching your lovely children continue to bloom in Year 4.

Please feel free to get in touch if there is anything we can help you with,

Mrs Whittingham, Miss Wilkinson (Friday) & Mrs Taylor
