Good morning to my SUPER Starlings!

I hope you have all woken up feeling fresh and positive, ready for another day of learning from home with your most special people.

A fantastic new website was launched at the weekend called the Oak National Academy. https://www.thenational.academy/online-classroom/year-1/#subjects  I had a look yesterday and there are so many fantastic resources to support the children including maths lessons, writing lessons and some really exciting topic activities. They are delivered by teachers using videos and hopefully you will find them really useful and easy to use. There are lessons for each day of the week but please don't feel you need to do every day.

The BBC have also released some amazing online lessons and resources. Have a look at them here:

It would be great to have some feedback on how you find the new resources and activities.

I am also going to attach lots of links below to some brilliant websites that I recommended on our blog previously, just as a little reminder. Please use these websites as you see fit, you do not need to use all of them every day.

Reminder to all our lovely parents… you are doing an amazing job!! Please just do what you can and enjoy having this time to talk, smile, laugh and have fun with your children! Remember, these are just ideas, you don't have to do everything. I just want you all to be happy and safe at home until we are back together.

Please send me some photos on Twitter of anything that you do or email them into school. I really love seeing what you are getting up to, it makes me smile and so happy to see your faces!

If you need anything, please do not hesitate to contact me via Twitter or the Admin email.

Stay safe Starlings and remember: Ready, Respectful and Safe (Even at home)

Lots of love,

Miss Gillam

A message from Mrs Powell

“The more that you read, the more things you will know. The more you learn, the more places you’ll go!” – Dr Seuss

What could you read today?  It could be singing songs or reading something about a sport you love; things to read are everywhere.  Go on - read anything!
