Toucans week beg. 11th July

We had a quiet week in Toucans this week with so many of our children out on Transition Days. We look forward to them sharing their experiences with the rest of the class when we are back together on Monday.

The children who were in created some fantastic artwork based on our History Topic - The Mayans. 

Toucans will have their cricket lesson next Thursday morning instead of Wednesday afternoon but the after school cricket club will be on as usual on Wednesday. 

If your child is involved in bikeability next week they can wear their PE kits as we are not sure which day their group will have their session on. Please make sure they have their bike and helmet in school. 

 

Here are a list of some special activities and dates for our lovely Toucans. 

 

On Monday 18^th July between 3pm and 5:30pm, Toucans class are invited to stay after school to have a special picnic tea together. They will be able to play their favourite sports with Mr A and we will make them a picnic tea. They will also have a visit from the ice-cream van!

 

On Tuesday 19^th July at 9:30am, the Year 6 Leaver's Service will be held in church which you're all welcome to attend. The service is expected to last about an hour and families are invited back to school following it for tea and coffee and biscuits. 

 

On Wednesday 20^th July, Mrs Macy will be cooking a special leaver's lunch which has been fully chosen by Year 6!

 

On their last day Thursday 21^st July, your children will have the chance to get their school t-shirts signed by their friends and teachers. Please can they come to school with a sharpie/permanent pen.
