Mrs Judge 2019 - 2020
This year, I am doing lots of exciting teaching across the whole school.
My day starts with Reception and Year 1 where we learn phonics in a Read Write Inc group. We have lots of fun learning our new sounds and practising writing words with these sounds in. We also read a lovely book each week with a partner.
After break, I work with Year 5 and 6 teaching Literacy through our Pathways to Write scheme. Sometimes I work with the whole class and sometimes with smaller groups, depending on the activity. I use different resources to make learning fun and we play lots of games, make up silly rhymes and sing funny songs to help us with our learning.
In Year 5, we are perfecting our newspaper reporting and diary writing skills through our class book ‘Queen of the Falls’ and will be writing an eerie narrative inspired by 'The Lost Happy Endings'.
In Year 6, we are writing emotional narratives inspired by the text ‘Star of Fear, Star of Hope’ which is set during the time of the Holocaust and will do some formal writing based on the classic story 'The Selfish Giant'.
I also teach German to Key Stage 2 where we are learning greetings, numbers and how to introduce ourselves and our family.
