Tuesday 24 March

Good morning to my wonderful little team of Goldfinches. How was yesterday for you? I hope you managed to enjoy the sunshine and get settled into home schooling a little more.

In my house yesterday, we had a great time doing PE with Joe and even when the internet crashed, we had fun carrying on and making up our own moves. (My favourite move was the ice skating one!)  We did reading comprehension and some maths activities and Toby had a great time making up his own word search. I'm looking forward to solving it when it is finished. Lola taught Toby how to Code using  https://studio.code.org/courses

We have talked together today about the importance of having some time alone to be calm and quiet so we all tried this out for half an hour after lunch. Lola listened to music, Toby read his Star Wars book and Amelie just relaxed in her room with a book. We talked about it being OK to say we need a little space and time to just be alone and that everyone else in the house needs to respect this.

I was really happy that we managed to write a little hello letter to post to my Nan and Gran and I know they will love to read about what we have been up to. I wonder who you could write a letter or e-mail to?

School Jobs  (see the attached file 'Home Learning Timetable Wb 23.3.20)

Today choose to do another different job from your pack. If you have had a go at the maths time games online, you could choose a page from your pack. Remember Ruby or A is our class work , Pearl or B  is next steps and Diamond or C is challenge work. You can choose whichever you are happiest with.

RE- remind yourself of the Easter story. The links to different websites and video clips are all in the Home Learning Timetable (attached) Perhaps you could make a cartoon strip or create an art picture/painting/sketch.

Please remember that above all your happiness is most important. Remember to eat healthily, get lots of fresh air and sleep well. I look forward to blogging tomorrow,

Mrs Evans

and I know Mrs Brennan and Mrs O'Marah are thinking about you all lots.

Message from Mrs Powell

I think we dream so we don’t have to be apart for so long. If we’re in each other’s dreams, we can be together all the time.” Winnie the Pooh

Dear children, Now we all have more time, are you thinking about the things you like to do at home and at school?  Please tell someone all about it and keep talking. It is great to talk!
